Disobedient and wanton Reshma stays a poor lifestyle with her mom, Ratnamma, in 1980s South India. She is a passionate fan of movie actor, Suryakant, and her one determination in life is to encounter and perform with him. She turns away to Madras, and like, hundreds of young females, outlines up external Jupiter Workshops to try and get observed. With her basic, next-door-girl looks, she gets overlooked but as destiny could have it she is given a chance to perform a slight little part after she achieves to snitch into the studios. The part abuses her as a sex sign, driving men to the movies houses to engross her actions and loveliness. Nearly instant she, now rechristened Silk, develops a feeling, and composed with the elderly star, Suryakant, the one she had always daydreamed about, she crackles the silver screen with her sex plea. Suryakant's brother, Ramakant, an essayist, is besotted by her - so much so that he would like her to choose out of cinemas overall, so that he could wed her. But the disobedient lady that she risks her chance of influencing his parentages - by stimulating the future siren, Shakila, to a rivalry.
