Story, Synopsis, Trivia, Dialogues for Tista Parer Kanya (2004)
The film tells the love story of a young couple in flashback. An old fisher man recounts the tale of this estrange couple to a woman who is able to hear their song. The fisherman says that it was the reverberations of the song by the couple. Then he narrates the tale of a loving couple udasu and kusum. They reside in a communally harmonious village. Kusum, the caring and dutiful housewife takes care of everyone and everything. They have a baby girl. However the lecherous and villous land lord plots against udasu the agricultural he frames him in a false murder case after plotting with corrupt police officer. We flee the village to escape the police. The cunning landlord finds out about his whereabouts and gets him murdered thereafter his wife loses her sanity and roamed in search of her later when the landlord's treachery is revealed she murders him and commits suicide. However, the narrator remarked that their love story almost become a myth and people could still her songs in search of her husband.
