Tupi Diye Topor is a 2011 Indian Bengali drama film released on Feb 18, 2011. The film is directed by Swapan Ghosal, music composed by Debjit Ray.

Akash intends to go to the U.S for higher studies after his graduation. On the departure, he meets with an accident while on the way and later on, his friends advise him to study in Kolkata University.On the other hand we have Ramkanta staying in a town with his two grandsons, their families and his granddaughter Mouli.Though initially Ramkanta is against Mouli joining Kolkata University, yet later on he gives his consent and she takes admission in Kolkata University.

Akash and Mouli meet in college and fall in love over a period of time.Ramkanta is against any friendship with boys since he has selected a groom for Mouli.Mouli also abides by her grandfather’s wish.Akash comes to know of this and goes to Mouli’s town and somehow meets her.Mouli asks him to go away.
