The director has touched upon the other sides of a fast and furious life. Multiple relationships, one-night stands, blackmailing by threatening to circulate revealing pictures of one’s own partner, the “amra khub bhalo bondhu” goes for a toss when the characters reveal the other side to them. Animesh’s story is ably scripted by Padmanabha Das Gupta and in certain sequences, viewers are on the edge of their seats, waiting to know what happens next or who the murderer’s next victim is. The only hitch in an otherwise interesting tale seems to be the weak cast apart from a few strong connections like Soumili, Indrajit and Arpita Dutta Choudhury. One only wishes that certain characters were better executed by the cast.Read full review2.5

Where the scriptwriter cannot make up his mind whether he wants to make a thriller, a ghost story, or a psychological murder mystery? U-Turn is a film that fulfills these qualifications. Touted as “the first Bengali film to explore the problem of Dissociative Identity Disorder”, the film revolves around a strange girl Runa (Soumili Biswas) everyone is worried about except the girl herself.Read full review
