Veer Bharat is a 1934 Indian Bollywood costume film released on 1934. The film is directed by Homi Master.
This is vividly depicted in our Story in which the un-governed ambition of a wicked man almost ruined a kingdom. . General Jaipalsinghji of Suvarnagar on his way to see the King, meets the deputation of the peasants who complain to him about the atrocities of the wicked Minister Ajitsingh, who through the charms of the Dancer Kamakshi has cunningly exercised a hold over the puppet King Kesrisingh. Jaipalsingh fails in his attempt to convince the king of his wrongful attitude and ina heated discussion insults Kamakshi by throwing away the glass of wine offered to him by her. The king ordrs his arrest. This is seen by the smart lad Nanka who runs up and informs Surendra Jaipals valiant son, who is busy making love to Princess Hansa. He rushes up to his fathers rescue and picturesque palace grounds are instantly transformed into an arena of life and death. . Ajitsingh stabs Jaipalsingh who dies in the arms of his son who swears by the blood of his father to avenge his death. A terrific fight ensues in which Surendra proves that be is no mean foe to deal with. Ajit shoots at him. He falls off from a cliff into the whirling eddies below and is taken for dead. . Ajit, now all-powerful, harasses the peasants and exacts from them undue taxes. A reign of terror begins. In such times there arises a mysterious personality who rides his horse like wildfire. He frustrates the attempts of Ajitsingh everytime and proves himself to be a protector of the poor and punisher of the wicked. He is supported in his campaign by Bhima, a foolish but honest farmer and Ustad Virsingh, a real hero of the land. . Ajit contrives to poison the king through Kamakshi during her sensational dance of the Three Glasses; but the Mystery-Man comes up at the crucial moment and abducts the King away to his secret abode where the king is made to see his folly. . Ajit now tries to make Princess Hansa his own and is found out by the wrathful Kamakshi. In a heated argument Ajit stabs her. Kamakshi confesses her sins to Hansa. Desperate Ajit kidnaps Hansa away to the Fort. . Here comes up the escaped king who is also trapped by Ajit who orders his death before the eyes of Hansa. At the critical moment comes up the Mystery-Man. A fight ensues but he too is captured. In the meantime the valiant Ustad comes up with his followes. A right royal battle ensues.
