Vijay is a 1988 Indian Bollywood drama, action, romance film released on Aug 12, 1988. The film is directed by Yash Chopra, produced by Yash Chopra under banner named Yash Raj Films, music composed by Shiv-Hari.

Vijay is a small story about various features that are bound by relationships of love and friendship. How they become enemies and take up weapons against each other. The story starts with Arjun (played by Anil Kapoor) and Vicky (played by Rishi Kapoor) who meet co-incidentally, but are not aware that they are cousin brothers. They meet as close friends until they come to know that the person behind the insult of Arjun's mom is their Granddad named as Lala Yoddhraj (played by Anupam Kher).Soon, both of them are not able to digest this fact and they are rivals of each other. Vicky doesn’t get to know the mental humiliation his granddad had subjected to Arjun's mom.
