Water 2007

Water is a 2007 Indian Bollywood drama, romance, musical, social film released on Mar 09, 2007. The film is directed by Deepa Mehta, produced by David Hamilton under banner named B. R. Films.
The film is based on the lives of young women in India who were the victim of child marriage. In this era, once their men would be killed, they use to live the life of simplicity with their head shaved, dressed in pure white attire and then they were send to ashram for continuing their further life. This story is actually about the widows and how they are living the life of poverty in the same. Now, this story focuses on the main aspects of how a girl who is actually a widow falls in love with a man who changes her life. She wants to get away from all the norms and social restrictions of her society. She is desired to escape with the man who is actually a Gandhian follower and who knows the ultimate meaning of living. The story also highlights how this strange lady meets with number of other people in her journey and how she is enacted forcefully to act according to them.
