Story, Synopsis, Trivia, Dialogues for Zabardast (1985)

Zabardast is a 1985 Indian Bollywood drama, social film released on Jun 21, 1985. The film is directed by Nasir Hussain, produced by M. Riyaz , music composed by R. D. Burman.
The story starts with Ratan Kumar who lives a middle class living. He has a wife named as Pushpa and son named as Sunder. But, in this when he is asked to commit a crime, he does it happily. These orders are given by Balram Singh. But, Ratan takes a bag full of diamonds and this irritates Balram Singh. Now, he puts fire on his house and his wife is expected to be killed.Ratan is freed from the house and is helped by Dr. Saigal. Dr. Saigal takes him to a palace and then he stays there with his son. The Maharani ruling the palace. She after knowing about Ratan and his son weds him because she had lost her son and her husband who looks alike to that of Ratan.But, after this Pushpa renters his life and Maharani tries to murder Ratan. But, before things could end she kills herself and tells Sunder to take the revenge against this. Ratan is in jail and he on becoming free gets an identity of don.
