Amol Palekar
(Actor)Biography
He was born on 24 November 1944. He is an Indian actor and director in Hindi and Marathi movies. He completed his education in Fine Arts at the Sir JJ School of Arts, Mumbai, and commenced his artistic career as a painter. He displayed many painting exhibitions too. He also did theatres in Marathi and Hindi movies too. He was the recipient of three Filmfare and six State awards as Best Actor. He is also a director of many television serials like: "Kachchi Dhoop", "Mrignayani", "Naqaab", "Paool Khuna" and "Krishna Kali". He began his theatres with with Satyadev Dubey. He was appreciated for his roles in the films like: Golmaal and Naram Garam and many others. He was born to Kamlakar and Suhasini Palekar in a lower-middle-class family in Mumbai.
