She started her career with the bollywood movie ‘Koi mere dil se pooche’. She was also awarded many awards. She was also nominated for the ‘Filmfare award for the best female debut’. Her role in the Tamil film Aayutha Ezhuthu (2004) and its Hindi remake Yuva (2004) won her appreciation. She was also appreciated for her movies: Dhoom (2004), Dus (2005) and No Entry (2005), Ankahee (2006), Darling (2007), Tell Me O Kkhuda (2011). She was born in Mumbai. Her siblings are Bobby Deol, Sunny Deol, Vijeeta and Ajeeta, through her father's first marriage to Prakash Kaur. She attended Mithibai College. She wanted to become a fashion designer.
