He was born on 20 September 1949. He is an Indian writer, director and film producer. He is known to have directed movies like: Arth, Saaransh, Janam, Naam, Sadak and Zakhm. He is also known for the movies like: Jism, Murder and Woh Lamhe. She was born to Nanabhai Bhatt, and actress Shirin Mohammad Ali. He did his schooling from Don Bosco High School, Matunga. He started his own production company. Bhatt is married to Kiran and has two children: Pooja and Rahul Bhatt. They then got separated due to many differences. He then got married to the actress Soni Razdan. He has daughter Alia Bhatt and Shaheen Bhatt. He directed many movies like: Manzilein Aur Bhi Hain, Lahu Ke Do Rang, Saaransh, Kaash, Daddy,Awaargi , Aashiqui, Gumraah, and Criminal and Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin.
