He did many Bengali movies like: Guru Dakshina, Amader Songsar, Sathi, Interview, Shatru and Mouchak. He started his career with the movie Interview. He also got the International Best Actor Award from Karlovy Vary for this work He also featured in Mouchak, Devi Chaudhurani, Raag Anuraag, Sayang Siddha.
