Salma Agha
(Singer)Biography
She was born on October 25, 1946. She is a British singer and actress of Pakistani origin. She sang and also acted in many movies. She made her bollywood entry with the film; ‘Nikaah’. For this movie she won’ Filmfare Best Female Playback Award for the ghazal "Dil Ke Armaan Aansuon Mein Beh Gaye". She was born to Pathan Nasreen (born as Zarina Ghaznavi) and Liaqat Gul Tajik. Salma and her sister Sabina produced and sang for a record called ABBA AND AGHA. She also sang songs in the languages like: Bengali, Rajasthani, Gujarati and won a number of songs. She also did a movie known as Bazaar-e-Husn which was the first in Pakistan to win awards in Russia. She was born to a rich family. She was born in Karachi and later moved to London. She got married at the age of 16 years, but got separated from her fiancée. Her movie’ Kasam Paida Karne Wale Ki’ became a huge hit, which starred opposite to Mithun and Smitha Patil. She got married to Javaid Shaikh and later got separated from him too. She was then in relationship with squash Champion Rehmat Khan. She has a daughter and she also started her world tour.
