This story is based on two cousins who have grown up together, Rashi and Gopi. Gopi is very innocent and an illiterate. She lives with her Mama Mami and cousin Rashi. Rashi is greedy in nature just like her mother Urmila ben Shah. Her mother is searching for a groom for Rashi in a wealthy family. But, there is Kokila Modi who instead of choosing Rashi makes Gopi her daughter-in-law. Due to this act, Urmila is jealous and she goes on making a trick to get Rashi married to Jigar. Ahem leaves his girlfriend for his mother. He is not aware that Gopi is illiterate. Rashi and her mother Urmila try every possible thing to ruin Gopi’s relation with her family and also Ahem. But unfortunately, they fail in every attempt because it is Kokila Modi who stays with her ‘Daughter-in-law’. Now, after Gopi becomes pregnant with Ahem’s girl, he confesses his love for Gopi. She gives birth to Meera and Rashi gives birth to two twins, Tollu and Mollu. Gopi also meets with her sister, Radha and her parents. But, her sister Radha now starts feeling jealous about Gopi and she decides to ruin her life. But it is Rashi who stays by Gopi’s side and fails Radha’s attempts. But one day when they go to visit a temple, Radha tricks Gopi by taking Meera and making her fall in water. As a result of this, the family is under wrong impression that Gopi did this. So, Gopi leaves the ‘Modi house’ . The serial takes a leap of 8 years and Gopi gives birth to another girl, Vidya. Now after Modi family coming to know about Radha’s real face, they accept Gopi, Vidya and they also find Meera. With many twists in the story, one day Rashi saves Gopi from the attack of Anurag Joshi. In this serial, Rashi dies leaving behind her husband and her kids on the responsibility of Gopi. In the serial there enters Pari who is the cousin of Rashi. She starts liking Jigar and she teaches him the real meaning of life. Pari decides to get married to Jigar but Jigar cannot forget Rashi. It is after many more twists, Jigar finally agrees to get marry to Pari, but they are not aware of Radha’s entry into the house. Radha spends a night with Jigar and she is pregnant with his child. Modi family tries every possible thing to stop her but she always tricks the family with her plans. Pari and Jigar are in love with each other and they decide to accept Radha’s child. Now in the story Radha gives birth to a girl child and she escapes taking her away from the entire Modi family. She reaches Omkareshwar and even the Modi family is searching for her.
