Story, Synopsis, Trivia, Dialogues for Away We Go (2009)
"Away We Go" is a poignant contemporary comedy directed by Academy Award winner Sam Mendes from an original screenplay by Dave Eggers and Vendela Vida. The movie follows the journey of an expectant couple Burt (John Krasinski of The Office) and Verona (Maya Rudolph of Saturday Night Live), discover that his parents are moving overseas, as they travel the U.S. in search of a place to put down roots and raise a family. They visit a number of different cities, and meet with a different friend or family member's family at each stop. Their hosts include a set of emotionally detached parents (Allison Janney and Jim Gaffigan), a pair of overprotective new-age parents (Maggie Gyllenhaal and Josh Hamilton), and old college pals (Chris Messina and Melanie Lynskey), who have adopted a number of kids.
