A girl who is engaged to be married realises that she doesn't actually love the man she is with, at least as much as she should to commit herself to spending a lifetime with him. It's happened before right? In the movies as well as real life? No big deal. What if there was another man in the equation? Still happens. Still no big deal. So what if the 'other man' was a woman? A gay love story, I Can't Think Straight is novelist/filmmaker Shamim Sharif's effort to bring the issue 'out' into the mainstream. The story is about newly engaged Tala (Lisa Ray), a London-based Jordanian of Palestinian origin, and Leyla (Sheetal Sheth), a young British Indian woman, who is dating her best friend Ali. Tala, a Christian, and Leyla, a Muslim, are attracted to each other and end up together. That's what romantic films peddle anyway
