Naina Kapur is the biggest of three and currently doing an MBA course in New York City. Her course friend Rohit is a playboy who fails more than he flourishes, and the two patronizes each other since she's one of the few ladies he doesn't plan to court. Naina lives with her mom and her paternal grandma who, in essence, is your clinched mother-in-law. Not everything is running smoothly for the family. Their hotel business is constantly in the red and family bickering between the two in-laws is fixed. Even after this, the Kapoor family still controls their status quo, even if the kids are unhappy about it. Enter Naina's new friend, Aman Mathur - an appealing busybody who gets into everyone's face and then gets away with it. He brings a new charm to the neighborhood and slowly but surely establishes to change the lives of everyone around him.
