Mayabini 1992

Mayabini is a 1992 Indian Bengali drama,crime film released on 1992. The film is directed by Tushar Majumdar.

Some people were working in a forest when suddenly one person is killed. Within a few days another person is murdered. Owner of the forest filed a FIR in the local police station to find out the murderer. Bikram Narayan, the previous owner of the forest, come to his house with good news for his sister's son, but he s also killed. Sathi is a bar dancer, her mother is seriously and needs an operation which will cost Rs 12000. She tries to borrow that amount but she fails. She gets an action role of Madhabi who is exactly same with her face Madhuri who is going to marry Kumar. But there is a plan to send Sathi instead of Madhabi. In the meantime the new police officer Ranjit goes to Pratapgarh to investigate the murders. Earlier there was an affair between Ranjit and Madhbi . That night Sathi and Kumar are married in the Rudrapratap temple and Kumar takes her to an underground vault to gift her some jwellery. Biplab sees this place and steals all the valuables. In the end it is revealed that the accountant of the haveli is the original thief and the murder is done by another person who just wanted some money. Sathi and Biplub get arrested but they were set free because the charge against them is denied. At last kumar marries Sathi and Biplob is selected as a new accountant of Pratapgarh.
