When it's the Step Up series you're talking about, you know what the deal is all about. It's not about putting on the dancing shoes, but putting on the tights. And once done, nothing can stop our bunch of street dancers from turning into Miami's most happening movers and shakers. They are ready to show their moves just about anywhere (in the middle of a bustling street; on the top of cars). They are ready to shake a leg or two

The idea of street dance as an art form really comes alive in Step Up Revolution. Fourth in the Step Up series, this one really stands out over the other 3 as far as dance is concerned. The Step Up series truly began with Step Up 2: The Streets, where the final dance made you want to sign up for hip-hop lessons. The screenplay by Amanda Brody is the same old formula, bringing absolutely nothing new to the table

The plot’s still threadbare and the dialogue still cheesy, but Step Up Revolution has some thrilling, well-choreographed dance numbers...and let’s face it, that’s the reason we still go to these movies. The actors and the script have two left feet; watch it if you must for the infectious energy of its dance numbers. Fourth installment in the popular Step Up franchise, Revolution is set in gorgeous Miami Beach where local kid Sean

Yes, the fourth Step Up movie has arrived, and of course it’s full of invigorating dance numbers that are made all the more entertaining by the 3D technology. Alas, the dancers have to stop sometimes to allow the utterly unoriginal story to be told, and the romance at the centre of it inspired Amanda Brody, the screenwriter, to produce dialogue so cheesy as to be laughable. A streetwise guy named Sean (Ryan Guzman) meets a privileged gal

So you think you can dance? You probably can if you have trouble sitting in your seat during the screening of a Step Up film. The franchise is all pop culture. It caters to the iPod generation that loves its sneakers and tattoos. This is the young crowd that can’t hold back when LMFAO is playing on loop. Add to that, the fresh new concept of flash mobs / smart mobs and you’ve got yourself the fourth Step Up movie

Though the story is banal, the dance is not. Step Up Revolution takes the tried-and-tested stale story. The film starts off with Sean (Ryan Guzman), the leader of a flash mob in Miami. Sean and his best friend Eddie (Misha Gabriel) have day jobs as waiters in a big hotel, while planning elaborate sequences for their team The Mob. Sean falls for the pretty poor-little-rich-girl Emily (Kathryn McCormick) who happens to be the daughter
