And unlike larger-than-life actresses

She’s the proverbial boss from hell. Meet the exacting editor (Bullock) of a New York publishing firm. The cellphone-dependant executive expects her harried assistant (Reynolds) to pander to her every desire. Compared to this gorgon, Meryl Streep’s fashionista from The Devil Wears Prada is a model of congeniality.

Sandra Bullock, remember her? She sort-of, kind-of inherited the 'America's Sweetheart' title when Meg Ryan's lips went all weird looking and Julia Roberts couldn't figure out whether she was an 'actress' or a 'star'. She drove a bus so Keanu Reeves could figure out a way to get everyone off it; she became the object of dual affections in the lives of a comatose man's family

Margaret (Sandra Bullock) walks in, in an exquisite dress and stilettos, carrying a designer bag and holding her nose high, uncaring of the mere mortals (juniors) in her office. And the chat windows pop up: 'The thing is here', 'The witch is on her broom'. Her juniors start looking for cover while assistant Andrew (Ryan Reynolds) runs to get her two café lattes (in case one spills!)

You have been there, seen that. So when Sandra Bullock plays a Meryl Streep-esque over- powering book editor who loves to throw her weight and attitude around, you know what's to follow. Sandra's assistant Ryan Reynolds has to deal not just with her tantrums but also offer to walk down the aisle with her to ward off some immigration issues that could compromise her job.
