The movie became hit and it had finest compositions like: "Aah ko Chaihiye Ek Umar," "Nuktacheen Hai Gham-e-Dil," "Dil-e-Nadaan Tujhe Hua Kya Hai," "Yeh Na Thi Humari Kismet”. The movies like: Kundan (1955), Nausherwan-e-Adil and Jailor (1958) also gave him the fame and success too. He got the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 1980.
