The story of this movie is the story of one such man, named Ashok. He could not forget, could not forgive himself for the fact that during a childhood prank he caused the blindness of his sister Roopa, during an accident. His only ambition was to one day restore his sisters eyesight. There was a ray of hope when he came to know that a newly discovered operation could restore her eyesight - but the cost was prohibitive - 15,000 rupees, money he could not have and could never have. . An aristocrat lady Sarojini, hates love marriages because her own twin sister had a distressing experience of a love marriage and had gone astray after that. Sarojini Devi wished that her three grand daughter who had lost their parents, should have arranged marriages and should not fall in love. But she found it difficult to get them married to young men of her choice, because the eldest of the three sisters was a man-hater and the two young sisters were already in love. . Sarojini Devi offered Ashok the job of breaking the love affairs of the two younger sisters and making the elder sister agreeable to the idea of marrying a young man of her grannys choice. To get the money for her sisters eye operation. Ashok accepted the offer and the unusual assignment. . During his new position in the new household, where Ashok admirably succeeds in carrying out his assignment, he himself falls in love with the eldest sister Asha. But feeling ashamed of her own dishonour, Roopa left the hospital without meeting her brother. . Pran and Asha were engaged, the granny had been abducted, his sister lost again and suddenly Ashok found that life was being too harsh upon him. He too lost his faith in God, but when the found his sister again and she was critically ill, he was left with no alternative but to pray his sisters life. His prayers were heard, Roopa was saved and reunited with her brother and now the Divine had guided him on the road to happiness. . With the help of Ashas faithful chaufeeur Mahesh, Ashok was able to foil the villains conspiracy, rescue the real granny, save Asha from Prans clutches. . Now granny and Asha both understood the true worth, loved and integrity of Ashok and a new sun of happiness dawned in his life.
